Mobile Notary near Glen Mills, PA

Glen Mills sits just over the county line in Delaware County’s Garnet Valley area, a growing residential and retail community strung along the Route 1 corridor, close enough to the Chester County border that it’s a regular stop on the eastern edge of where I travel. The busy, family-oriented households here fit mobile notarization well: I meet you at home or at a business off Baltimore Pike for real-estate and refinance packages, estate documents, powers of attorney, and business agreements.

Because it’s a longer run east for me, I’ll always confirm the flat travel fee before we schedule, and I’m glad to work evenings and weekends around a full calendar.

Refinance and purchase packages are the bulk of what I’m called out to Glen Mills for, and they behave differently from a single-page acknowledgment. A loan package can carry a dozen or more notarized signatures across a stack of eighty pages, and the whole thing lives or dies on a few unglamorous details.

Every person whose name is printed on the signature lines has to be physically present, each with their own current, unexpired government-issued photo ID. Not a spouse’s ID, not a photo of an ID on a phone, not one signer with the other’s paperwork. If one borrower is traveling, we reschedule or the lender arranges something else, because I can’t take an acknowledgment from someone who isn’t in the room. Second, the name on the ID needs to correspond to the name on the document. Middle initials, maiden names, suffixes, and hyphenated names are where these come apart. If your ID says one thing and the deed says another, tell me at booking and I’ll tell you whether it’s a problem or not before I drive out.

Third, do not pre-sign. It’s tempting with a thick package, and it’s the single fastest way to force a redraw.

Set aside more time than you expect. An unhurried signing where someone can actually read what they’re putting their name to takes forty-five minutes to an hour, and rushing it serves nobody. I’ll bring a pen that works and I won’t hover. What I can’t do is explain the loan terms to you; I’m a notary public, not an attorney or a loan officer, so keep your lender’s number handy for the questions that are genuinely theirs.

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID, and please leave anything requiring a notary unsigned until we meet. All notarial acts are performed personally by Christopher J Abt, a Pennsylvania notary public, Commission #1470081.

Glen Mills is about 18 miles from my base in West Grove, well inside the area I cover daily.

Every act above is $5.00 in Glen Mills and everywhere else in Pennsylvania — $2.00 for each additional name in the same certificate, and $3.00 per page to note a protest. Those are maximums set by the Commonwealth in 4 Pa. Code § 167.3, not prices I set. The travel & convenience fee starts at $45, is quoted before I set out, and is itemized separately from the statutory fee at the point of service. Full fee schedule → I'm a notary public, not an attorney, so I can't draft legal records or give legal advice, including immigration.
